2010 Illinois General Election Page—Surveys

What you need to know about the candidates before you vote.

State Offices Responses

We have removed the percentages from the surveys because they were misleading.  The percentage was simply a computer figure based solely on the Yes or No response of the candidate.  That figure did not take into account comments made by candidates.  Some of the comments merely reinforced the candidates response but some comments altered their response.  For example a candidate may have marked "yes" indicating that they did not have a "rape and incest" exception but then made a comment on the survey indicating that in fact they did have such an exception  The IFRL PAC's endorsements were not made on the basis of the computer generated percentage.  The PAC members reviewed the comments for their deliberations.  Other criteria, such as a voting record, history of pro-life activities, viability as a candidate and any information provided by members of the IFRL or directors on the IFRL Board was also considered.
