Illinois Federation For Right to Life Daily News |
Saturday's "It's a Matter of LIFE & DEATH" rally was a huge success -- despite the harsh, chilly winds.
Or maybe I should say "because of". The fact that it was such an unseasonably cold day REALLY pumped up the crowd of over 400 courageous pro-lifers. |
The IFRL is the largest grassroots pro-life organization in Illinois. A non-profit organization, that serves as the state coordinating body for local pro-life chapters representing thousands of Illinois citizens working to restore respect for all human life in our society. The IFRL is composed of people of different political persuasions, various faiths and diverse economic, social and ethnic backgrounds. Since 1973 the Illinois Federation for Right to Life has been working to end abortion and restore legal protection to those members of the human family who are threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. Diverse though we are, we hold one common belief - that every human being has an inalienable right to life that is precious and must be protected. IFRL is dedicated to restoring the right to life to the unborn, and protection for the disabled and the elderly. Click here to learn more about the IFRL. |

Saturday's Great Rally |
We packed both sides of New York Street with picket signs and large pictures showing the beauty of life and the horror of abortion.
Along Oakhurst, the poignant "Cemetery for Choice" mourned the deaths of mothers who have died having abortions, while farther down Oakhurst 100 pro-lifers prayed for an end to abortion. |
The rally concluded with a thrilling "Balloons for Life" launch, with hundreds of pink and blue balloons soaring aloft, each representing a baby saved from abortion by pro-life ministry.

Many of the 400 who came out in the chilly winds Saturday were first timers GRATEFUL for the opportunity to take action against the Abortion Fortress of Aurora.
That opportunity is available to YOU every Tuesday through Saturday during our continuing "Life Support" prayer witness. Sign up here: http://fvfapp.org/life.php#calendar
