The Life Center's "Hike For Life" on Saturday, May 19th from
8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Lord's Park Pavilion in Elgin, is a morning of family fun, fellowship, and fundraising. Participants should collect pledges ahead of time to support The Life Center's ministry then come out and hike around the pond while enjoying a spring day. Lifesaving at the Life Center

Nine years ago, in the building next door to where The Life Center currently resides, was an abortion clinic. In those days, when an Elgin area woman found herself in a crisis pregnancy, it was a challenge to find a kind face to turn to and a safe environment where she could receive the encouragement and support she needed to continue on with her pregnancy.

At this time, there was an active group of concerned Christians who were committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with abortion-minded women within the community, and encouraging them to choose life for their unborn babies. Click here for more...

The Life Center is a non-denominational outreach is staffed by volunteers. Donations of baby items, children's clothing and maternity clothes are always needed. Please call (847) 622-1235 for more information.

Pro-life, pro-family books, videos and tapes can be checked out free of charge. Free literature is available on various pro-life, pro-family topics.

Pro-life and pro-family organizations use our facilities for seminars and meetings.

Children can play in the center's play area while their mothers are being served at the center.

Diapers, formula, baby items, children's and maternity clothes are made available to mothers in need.

The Shepherd's Chapel is a place for prayer meditation. Many men and women have received the Lord. The love of God has been ministered in this place. We believe God's presence abides here.

We have prayed with women experiencing post-abortion trauma and have seen God's healing power in their lives. The Little Lamb's memorial, a part of the chapel, allows mothers to memorialize their aborted babies. A plaque can be placed in the chapel naming the baby, perhaps using scripture verse or saying, providing healing and closure to many post-abortive women.
