The Pro-life Action League will be picketing in Aurora on Saturday, May 12th. The abortion clinic there closed last October. Now the Pro-Life Action League see signs that it may reopen! But, they say, "Not without a fight!" If we have a good showing maybe we will nip this one in the bud.
Again, that's in Aurora, Saturday, May 12th, 9-11am at Galena Blvd. and May St.
Hope to see most, if not all, of you there.

Over the 34 years abortion has been legal in the U. S., pro-life organizations have adapted certain philosophies.
I'm thinking now of strategists who incrementally plot our legal course based on court decisions and a head count of pro-life and anti-life judges. I'm also thinking of purists who won't support legislation with compromises or exceptions. No stopgaps allowed.
The South Dakota abortion bans of 2006 and 2007 present quandaries for both these camps....
For purists, the evidence starkly suggests even a plurality of pro-life voters will only vote for an abortion ban with exceptions. Furthermore, prospects for passage of a human life amendment to the U. S. Constitution are bleak, since it would require ratification by three-fourths of the states....
As for incremental strategists, at least two national pro-life organizations opposed the South Dakota ban last year, stating the time was not ripe to trigger the Supreme Court's response to whether Roe v. Wade was indeed constitutional, since the Court is currently weighted 5-4 against us....

HB 317 ADOLESCENT HEALTH CARE SAFETY
Call your Illinois House Representatives and urge them to vote "NO" on Representative Fritchey's Adlolescent Health Care Safety Bill (HB 317) because this is a sham bill.
This bill will repeal the 1995 Parental Notice Bill and replace it with an "anything goes" notice bill.
This bill requires that a person may not intentionally perform an abortion on a minor or on an incompetent person unless 48 hours' notice has been given to a specified adult family member or a member of the clergy (anyone's clergy - may not even be their own). It also provides for exceptions to the notice requirement. Requires a minor's consent to an abortion, except in the case of a medical emergency - which means an abortion can be completed even if the mother doesn't know. The bill also provides the provision of information and counseling by a physician or counselor for a pregnant minor for decision making regarding pregnancy shall be in accordance with specified requirements - this means that the counselor at the abortion clinic can be the person that notification is given to.
This bill in essence will wipe out any true parental notification. Contact your Representatives and urge them to vote "NO" on HB 317. The pro-aborts are trying to make this bill out to be a pro-life bill which is most definitely isn't.
