Right to Life of Will County launches pro-life ad campaign

MOKENA -- Beginning this Saturday, June 14, three ads by Right to Life of Will County will begin airing on WYLL 1160 AM in Chicago.

The one-minute ads spotlight truths about abortion about which the public is generally unaware.

The "Informed Consent" ad draws attention to various proven harms to mothers who abort such as the increased risk for homicide, suicide, alcoholism, and substance abuse. The abortion industry tries to hide these facts by fighting informed consent laws, "reminiscent of tobacco companies of yesterday that denied the proven health risks of smoking until forced by law," states the ad.

The "Abortion Clinic Regulations" ad focuses on the fact that Illinois abortion clinics go by a much more lax set of standards than Illinois nail salons, roofing contractors, and even animal clinics.

A lawsuit filed in the 1980s by an Illinois abortionist resulted in the disparity.

Just a few of those differences are that abortionists do not have to report whether they are convicted felons; abortion clinic operating rooms can have open drains; and staff does not have to stay with recovering aborting patients.

The "RU-486" ad explains that these medical abortions actually stretch over the course of two days and are a painful regimen involving two different drugs.

"Since RU-486 was legalized in 2001, at least six North American women have died from septic shock after taking it," states the ad.

The ads will begin airing during the new pro-life radio show hosted by Right to Life of Will County president Jill Stanek on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m.

WYLL 1160 AM is a 50,000 watt radio station reaching Wisconsin and Indiana as well as the entire Chicago area.
